Vigna dell’Etna
Tailor-made journeys crafted for travelers who crave authenticity, comfort, and seamless planning.
Taste with passion
Oliveto Asklund - Olio olivi
The oil is cold-pressed at the local olive mill Le Valli dell’Etna and has a beautiful, intense green color, indicating a high content of natural polyphenols and plant compounds. The flavor is distinctly pungent, vibrant, and full of character, with a clear volcanic imprint that reflects the mineral richness of Etna’s soil.
This type of early-harvest, unfiltered oil is often experienced as both cleansing and balancing – not only in the kitchen, but also as a source of well-being. Its freshness and natural bitterness can feel stimulating to the body, while its pure, earthy expression invites calm and presence.
Oliveto Asklund is an oil that connects flavor, nature, and sensuality – and, like our wine, is an honest expression of life and landscape at the foot of Mount Etna.
Volpe dell’Etna - Vino anno 2025
Volpe dell’Etna, is a young, 100% natural wine – with no additives, no sulfites, and no added yeast. The wine is crafted with minimal intervention and full respect for nature’s own processes. The grapes are grown in fertile, black volcanic soil rich in minerals such as basalt, iron, and potassium, which contribute to the wine’s vibrant structure and clear volcanic character.
The wine displays a beautiful, intense ruby-red hue, achieved through the interplay of the local blended grape varieties Carricante and Nerello Mascalese – two classic Etna grapes that grow primarily in this area. Nerello Mascalese provides color, finesse, and structure, while Carricante – despite its traditional role in white wines – adds freshness, acidity, and a light mineral lift, giving the wine its distinctive vibrancy.
The grapes are grown within a DOP area and are potentially certifiable as ETNA DOC, underscoring their geographic origin and qualitative roots in the Etna region’s long-standing winemaking traditions.
The vines are tended and pruned in harmony with nature’s rhythms, including according to lunar phases such as the full moon on carefully selected dates – a practice inspired by biodynamic principles and local experience. The wine has a light, natural effervescence, a lively expression, and is produced this year in a very limited edition of just 200 bottles. The name Volpe dell’Etna refers to the local Etna fox, which – due to a temporary disruption in the food chain – consumed a significant portion of the year’s grape harvest and thus became an unexpected part of the wine’s story.
Limoncello Di Nonna
Limoncello di Nonna is made according to an old family recipe passed down through generations. Crafted in small batches, it reflects both tradition and place.
The lemons are grown on the slopes of Mount Etna, where volcanic soil, altitude, and Mediterranean light give the fruit its distinctive intensity and fragrance. Only the finest peels are used, and the limoncello is left unfiltered to preserve its natural character.
Bottled at 47% alcohol, it is bold, aromatic, and deeply expressive — a quiet tribute to Nonna, to Sicily, and to the land that shapes it.

Journeys Crafted Around You
Explore Vineyards and Olive Grooves
Discover the island’s vineyards and ancient olive groves at your own pace. You are invited to wander freely through our small, private vineyard and olive grove, covering approximately one hectare and gently sloping down toward the valley.
The landscape offers a quiet opportunity to experience Sicily up close — the soil, the light, and the rhythm of the land that shapes both wine and olive oil.
An active island
Sicily also invites an active stay, offering a remarkable range of outdoor experiences shaped by its dramatic landscape. The island’s varied terrain is ideal for cycling, whether on a road bike or mountain bike, with long climbs and quiet mountain roads.
Mount Etna itself offers year-round adventure — from hiking across volcanic trails to skiing in winter, or exploring its slopes by motorcycle, where sharp hairpin turns and open views create a powerful sense of movement and freedom.
Along the coast, the sea opens up further possibilities. Boat trips lead to secluded stretches of shoreline and carefully selected diving areas with coral formations, while calmer days invite cruising on the water or exploring the coast by paddleboard.
Discover the Natural Beauty of Sicily
Sicily offers an extraordinary diversity of landscapes, shaped by volcanic forces, ancient history, and the surrounding sea. From dramatic mountains to historic coastal towns, the island invites exploration at a slower, more attentive pace.
Mount Etna
Europe’s highest active volcano dominates the eastern part of the island. Vineyards, lava fields, chestnut forests, and small mountain villages lie scattered across its slopes. Etna offers hiking, wine tasting, and ever-changing scenery shaped by nature itself.
Siracusa
A city of deep historical significance, Siracusa is best known for Ortigia, its atmospheric old town surrounded by the sea. Ancient ruins, baroque architecture, and quiet piazzas make it an essential stop for culture and history lovers.
Noto
Famous for its golden baroque architecture, Noto is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The town is especially beautiful in the late afternoon light and offers an elegant contrast to Sicily’s rugged landscapes.
Taormina
Perched high above the sea, Taormina combines breathtaking views, a historic Greek theatre, and lively streets. From here, the coastline and Mount Etna unfold in a single panoramic view.
Vendicari Nature Reserve
A protected coastal area south of Noto, known for its unspoiled beaches, wetlands, and birdlife. Ideal for walking, swimming, and experiencing Sicily’s quieter, wilder side.
What else can you experience in Sicily
Beyond its landscapes, Sicily offers a rich cultural and sensory experience shaped by everyday life, tradition, and centuries of history. One of the most immediate ways to experience the island is through its local fish and produce markets, where daily rhythms and seasonal abundance come together.
From our vineyard is located in Piedimonte Etneo, just 7 km from the coastal town of Riposto. Here, the local market offers a relaxed and authentic atmosphere, where fresh fish from the Ionian Sea meets seasonal fruit and vegetables grown in the surrounding volcanic soil.
In larger cities such as Catania and Palermo, early mornings unfold at vibrant open-air markets, where the catch of the day is traded just hours after arriving from the sea. Nearby produce markets overflow with citrus, tomatoes, herbs, and olives — ingredients that form the foundation of Sicilian cuisine.
These markets are more than places to shop; they are social gathering points where locals exchange news, recipes, and traditions. Wandering through them offers a direct and genuine connection to everyday life on the island.
Your host’s:
Christina & Richard
We are Christina and Richard — explorers at heart, shaped by years of travel and adventure across large parts of the world. Our experiences range from remote landscapes to extreme endurance challenges, giving us a deep respect for nature, resilience, and the unexpected.
Christina has taken part in some of the world’s most demanding adventure race, the Mongol Derby 2024, widely regarded as the toughest horse race on earth. Richard participated in the danish Survivor 2016, following an earlier experience of surviving alone for more than 30 days on a remote island in the Philippines — encounters that reinforced the value of simplicity, adaptability, and mental strength.
Today, we bring this mindset into everything we do. Rather than designing itineraries, we share a place — welcoming guests into our home, our vineyard, and our way of life on Sicily. Our role as hosts is shaped by lived experience, curiosity, and a genuine passion for exploration, whether close to home or far beyond the horizon.
